| Industry News: Woltjer Engines Enjoys Banner Weekend in WKA Man Cup Competition |
| |
It’s been a very successful season already for Woltjer Engines, whose customers continue to impress in WKA Manufacturer's Cup events. The results from the most recent event at the Pittsburgh Int'l Race Complex in Wampum, PA, which was held on May 11-13, were stellar with Woltjer engines running up front and throughout the top-10 all weekend. Working with multiple drivers and multiple chassis, Woltjer Engines found their powerplants on the karts during six race wins and 27 podium finishes.
“It’s been a great year for Woltjer Engines,” Daniel said, “I am so proud of all of the drivers. They are a very talented bunch of kids!”
Woltjer would like to thank all of its customers, mechanics and drivers for their hard work this racing season. At PIRC, the first place winners were Kyle Kalish, Alex Verhagen and Leonardo Stoia, each of whom scored two victories in the weekend. Kyle Kalish had a great weekend with first place in Yamaha Jr Heavy and Komet Jr Lite. Alex Verhagen raced his way to first place in Yamaha Rookie Sportsman Final 1 and Yamaha Rookie Sportsman Final 2. Leonardo Stoia celebrated first place wins in Cadet Sportsman Final 1 and Komet Sportsman.
Without all the pieces of the puzzle, winning races would not be possible. The final tally for the weekend featured six wins, 16 top-threes, 27 top-fives, 51 top-10s and seven Fast Time awards.
Woltjer Engines will continue to provide trackside support at all upcoming Man Cup Races.
