Fresh off a great start to his 2012 World Karting Association (WKA) Manufacturer's Cup program, Texan Mason Chelootz would make the trip to the Pittsburgh Race Complex for the third race of the six round series. A threat for victories every time he hits the track, the Top Kart pilot proved once again to be one of the drivers to beat as he took home a quartet of victories and added a podium to finish all five classes in the top three.

"It was a great weekend in Pennsylvania," expressed Chelootz after his five podiums. "I really like the track and the competition is high in WKA. With three events remaining, I am starting to focus more on the points at each and every event but will do my best each weekend to win."

Competing in three separate divisions on Saturday, Chelootz would utilize three separate engine combinations aboard his Tony Loniewski and John Wiegand prepared Top Karts. Competing in the Parilla Leopard Only, TaG 1 and Komet Heavy classes, the multi-time race winner went on to score a pair of victories and a third place result.

Sweeping the Komet Heavy class, Chelootz claimed the pole position, heat race win and main event victory as he dominated the class. Winning by a substantial margin over the rest of his rivals, Chelootz showed why he is the favorite to take the title.

Sweeping a class at the WKA Manufacturer's Cup is hard in any class on any race weekend. Following his Komet Heavy efforts, Chelootz repeated his dominating performance in the TaG division by completing the hat trick. With a blistering lap in qualifying to take the pole position by nearly six tenths of a second, Chelootz went on to claim another prefinal win and main event victory, his second of the day.

Chelootz added, "The TaG kart was really working well this weekend and the power was awesome. I felt like I could put the kart anywhere on the track and be fast."

With two victories on the day, Chelootz was out to add a third to his resume in the Parilla Leopard Only division. Having to come from somewhere other than the front row, the Top Kart pilot would claim the fifth quickest lap time in the morning qualifying session and held station through the prefinal to score a fifth place result. Working with his tuners to perfect his ride for the main event, Chelootz drove forward to take the third position when the checkered flag flew.

With a successful Saturday complete, it was back to the track on Sunday for the Komet Lite and TaG 2 divisions, as Chelootz would look to keep his podium streak alive. Missing the pole positions by the slightest of margins in both classes, Chelootz would claim the second quickest lap and start both prefinals from outside row two.

Looking to secure heat race wins and pole positions for the main events, Chelootz went on to run second in the Komet Lite class. Falling back to third on the start of the main event, the talented Texan made quick work of the top two drivers as he took the point by the time the trio had made it to corner four. Never looking back, Chelootz went on to score his third victory of the weekend and a commanding lead in the overall points battle.

Also seeing action in the TaG 2 division, Chelootz would turn his second place prefinal starting position into a disappointing fifth place result. Determined to rebound in the main event, Chelootz steered his Top Kart through the top five to take command of the race and score his fourth win on the weekend.

Mason would like to thank Grand Products, Top Kart, Hytorc of Texas, Comet Kart Sales, P1 Engines and his tuners Tony Loniewski and John Wiegand, as well as his parents for all their hard work and continued support.
