Team News: Checkered Motorsports - WKA CRG America Nationals Preview
 


Pittsburgh International Race Complex will be Checkered Motorsports next visit for the WKA CRG America Nationals. After a stunning 9 victories in the Great Lakes Sprint Series last week and 3 victories at the WKA Zoom Zoom Nationals back in March, the team looks to maintain the success. They will be at full force hosting a total of 9 pilots competing in 13 classes.

In the TaG field Kyle Smith will be making his return after missing the second round of the WKA Manufacturers Cup Series. Kyle Knecht and Robert Bujdoso aboard their Mxk8's look forward in posting strong results as Bujdoso is currently leading in the TaG standings and runner up in Leopard.

In the Junior category Andrew Bujdoso is going to make his return competing in the Yamaha Jr. Heavy class, as he’ll be performing double duty with Komet Piston Port Jr. Lite and Heavy. The young driver showed speed at the previous Great Lakes Sprint Series event and looks to maintain that success going into this weekend.

TaG Masters veteran’s, Kim Carapellatti and Tom Gerstner, look to post strong results after both drivers showed great speed at the previous WKA event. Both pilots are eager to put the PCR Advance on the podium this weekend, and possibly the win.

In Yamaha Supercan Lite and Heavy, Weston Moon will be accompanied by newcomer Peter Koschuk. Both drivers are going to be working co hand with each other. Moon is excited for the weekend as he has already completed prior test sessions at the Pittsburgh International Raceway Complex. As for Koschuk he will be getting his feet wet as this is his first visit to the facility.

In the Sportsman category J.P. Southern Jr. is going to have his hands full while. He will be running in Komet Sportsman, Yamaha Sportsman, and Cadet Sportsman. The young driver has shown great improvement in his decision making and race craft. With the right adjustments, Southern Jr. will be one to watch for in the main event.

Checkered Motorsports is attending the Manufacturers Cup Series, Great Lakes Sprint Series, Pitt Race Karting Championship, and selected national events. Arrive and drive opportunities, kart rentals, transportation and tech support are available for the events.
