| WKA Returns to West Coast This Weekend |
| Article by: WKA PitBoard |
WKA is proud to announce the return of WKA Racing to the Western United States with the first of seven races of the WKA West Super Series this weekend in Dixon, California, hosted by the Kinsmen Kart Club.
Karters from all over the region are expected to ascend on the famed Dixon circuit to experience the popular Manufacturers Cup style format, successful in the eastern region.
Class structure for the program is a combination of regional classes and WKA national classes, with divisional points bonuses to the Manufacturers Cup, supported by Grand Products, Bridgestone and RLV.
Pre-entries are still being accepted until March 15, by fax at 925-798-4933, and walk up entries are welcome.
Visit the series website at http://www.WKADistrict10.com for entry forms and series information or email WKAWestSS@aol.com for more information.
Kershaw Zoom Zoom Nationals, Johnny Jacumin Memorial is March 23-25
Pre-registration is now closed for the March 23-25 WKA Mazda / Bridgestone Manufacturers Cup, Vega Tire / TS Racing Road Racing Series driven by Mazda twin bill at Kershaw, South Carolina's Carolina Motorsports Park.
Teams may still enter at the track beginning Thursday, March 22 and throughout the weekend's activities.
Pre-entry numbers are very strong for both series.
Pre-entries for the Man Cup's Zoom Zoom Nationals have come in at a steady rate over the last couple months and have easily surpassed the pre-entry count of last year's Kershaw event, which boasted an impressive total of 546 race entries. This year's round two of the Man Cup appears it will surpass 600 race entries as WKA's national 2-cycle sprint series continues to prosper.
The pre-entry count for the Road Racing's Johnny Jacumin Memorial is higher than its been in several years. If at-track entries equal those of past seasons, this year's Kershaw Road Race looks like it will be the best attended in over since 2008, when nearly 300 entries filled the Road Racing pit area at CMP.
