| Industry News: Route 66 Sprint Series Introduces PRD Senior TaG Controlled Class |
| |
The Route 66 Sprint Series represents all that a professional race series can be from management to desired classes, great tracks, great racing and great people. Its long and illustrious history speaks to its commitment to championship kart racing.
Continuing on that history of success, the Route 66 Sprint Series has teamed up with RLV/PRD-USA to introduce the “PRD 125cc Senior TAG Controlled Class” to the series. This class is all about an economical entry, low cost of replacement parts and long intervals between maintenance. The PRD 125cc Senior TAG Controlled Class will run with TAG-1 and TAG-2 but will be scored separately. Awards will be presented each race, Saturday and Sunday but there will be only one PRD 125cc Senior TAG Controlled Class champion at the end of the series (Saturday and Sunday points will be combined).
Art Verlengiere of RLV said “All of us at RLV/PRD-USA are extremely excited for the opportunity to showcase the PRD at the hugely prestigious and successful Route 66 series!” He went on to say “I give a special thanks to Mark Coats and his advisors for providing this opportunity and for their commitment to the sport.
Route 66 promoter Mark Coats said “The PRD class is the largest senior class in Southern California and for good reason. RLV has put together a nice piece that is fast, economical and very reliable.” Mark Dismore Jr. of NCMP went on to say, “It’s a GREAT RIDE!”
No doubt 2012 will be another can’t miss year at the Route 66 Sprint Series! Keep up with the Route 66 Sprint Series at http://www.route66kartracing.com . For more on the PRD engine, visit http://www.prd-usa.com |
