| Honda Performance Development Offering Contingency Program to WKA Stock Honda Road Racers |

Honda Performance Development (HPD) is offering a special contingency program for the World Karting Association TS Racing / Vega Tire National Road Racing Series driven by Mazda. Contingencies will reward national champions, second- and third-place points finishers in the Stock Honda 1 and Stock Honda 2 classes during the 2012 WKA season.
Stock Honda 1 and 2 national champions will receive a $500 "HPD Bucks" product credit with HPD. Second-place finishers in each class will earn $300 worth of "HPD Bucks." Third-place point finishers in each class will receive $100 "HPD Bucks."
To be eligible for the HPD WKA Stock Honda Contingency Program, competitors must be registered members of the Honda Racing Line program. To register, visit http://racing.honda.com/hpd/race-for-honda/registration.aspx
When racers create a Honda Racing Line account, they are provided usernames and passwords for the HPD online parts catalog. Honda Racing Line members are able to purchase parts, engine kits, and other items at discounted prices.
All 2012 HPD WKA Stock Honda Contingency Program award recipients will be able to use their "HPD Bucks" toward Honda Racing Line purchases.
Please contact the World Karting Association for guidelines that WKA Stock Honda racers must follow to be eligible for the HPD WKA Stock Honda Contingency Program.

2012 WKA 2-cycle Spec Oil Program announcement
Testing is completed for the 2012 WKA Spec Oil Program all classes in the George Kugler / Bridgestone Manufacturers Cup and 2-cycle spec fuel classes in the Vega / TS Racing Road Racing series, both driven by Mazda.
All oils submitted to WKA passed testing. All oils submitted are included in the 2012 Manufacturers Cup and Road Racing Spec Oil programs.
The following oils are approved in 2012 for Man Cup and Road Racing.

The 2012 WKA Spec Oil Program begins for both Manufacturers Cup and Road Racing this March 23-25 at the Carolina Motorsports Park doubleheader national event. The program runs through Daytona KartWeek, December 27-30, 2012.
WKA thanks all oil manufacturers and distributors for submitting their oils for the 2012 program. Approved oils will be listed on all 2012 Manufacturers Cup and Road Racing entry forms and race event literature.
Spec Oil Program for 2-cycle Gold Cup classes
The approved oils for the 2012 WKA Spec Oil Program also are the approved oils for the trio of 2-cycle classes in the 2012 WKA RLV Tuned Exhaust Products Gold Cup Series.
As announced today, the following oils are approved in 2012 Manufacturers Cup, Road Racing and the Gold Cup's Komet Sportsman, X-30 Junior and X-30 Senior classes.

Two-cycle Gold Cup teams must run one of these oils beginning this weekend at Jacksonville's 103rd Street Sports Complex through the Sept. 21-23 season closer at New Jersey Motorsports Park.
Attention Gold Cup Jacksonville Clone racers
02.28.2012 - The new Clone factory billet flywheel will not be allowed at the Jacksonville event. The original Stock clone flywheel will be the only approved flywheel.
Citing lack of availability and possible safety and reliability concerns, WKA has decided to suspend the use of the new billet flywheel till further evaluation of the part is completed.
WKA apologizes for the late announcement but wishes to provide the safest environment for the racer possible. |
