This weekend will host the second stop of the 2012 Gatorz Challenge of the Americas program, taking part at the Phoenix Kart Racing Association (PKRA) Formula K Raceway circuit. With over 110 drivers at the opening stop in Tucson, Arizona, another stellar paddock is projected for rounds three and four of the six-race international Rotax Max Challenge program. The weekend in January also marked the first time eKartingNews.com covered the series through its ‘EKN Trackside Live’ program. This weekend will continue the new partnership with another full weekend of coverage from the ‘Copper State’.
For those family members, friends, and karting fanatics who are unable to attend the second stop of the Gatorz COTA program in person, eKartingNews.com will bring you the benefit of feeling like you are there right to your couch or computer desk. The EKN Trackside Live coverage - http://www.ekartingnews.com/live - will give you the play-by-play action from EKN’s own Rob Howden and allow you to view the live scoring feed from Race-Monitor.com. With race reports published after each day of competition, links to full race results, series information, and the official Forum discussion with updates on any action you may have missed, the EKN Trackside Live page is the one page to bookmark for your weekend. As drivers and teams will be heading to Phoenix over the next few days, everyone will be able to sample a taste of what’s to come this weekend listening to the action from the opening event in Tucson. EKN is happy to release the edited tracks of the feature events from the Musselman Honda Circuit on January 27-29, 2012. Due to technical issues, only the Senior Max and Mini Max features from Saturday’s round one action is accessible for download with all six main events on Sunday available.
