| Event News: Long Star Grand Prix Numbers Growing |
| |
The Lone Star Grand Prix on March 17-18 at the Dallas Fair Park in Texas is approximately 72 days away and the race is shaping up incredibly well. The TaG Sr, Stock 125 Light, Stock 125 Heavy, Chonda and KT100 classes have all made. We hear that more entries are coming in TAG light and we expect that class to make. We currently have entries from 10 states. Remember that the cost of entry increases again on 2.1.12. While not the biggest class the sit up KT100 class is looking like it will be the largest KT100 class run anywhere in a very long time. Pretty exciting stuff.
The only classes that we are concerned about at this point are the Rotax classes. If you know Rotax racers that are racing with us instead of making the trek to Florida please ask them to enter soon so that we are not forced to cancel the classes. If the classes are cancelled we will be happy to transfer the entry fee to another class or refund it.
The rules will be published next week. We apologize for the delay but we have had some significant illness on the team and it just couldn't be helped. Thank you for your patience.
The discussions with The City of Dallas are going well regarding repaving problem areas. We will keep you posted on the progress.
Please send us your questions and constructive comments to lsgp2012@gmail.com.
We look forward to racing with you March 17 & 18 on the same track where Ayrton Senna, Nelson Piquet and Niki Lauda ran the 1984 Dallas Grand Prix. We have heard from a Can Am driver that raced that race saying that he will run the KT100 class at LSGP.
