| Track News: Kick Off 2012 with Karting at PGP This Weekend |
| |
Happy New Year! PGP hopes you enjoyed the holidays, got what you asked Santa for and kissed the right person at midnight on New Year’s Eve. But now it’s time to get back to racing, and we’ve got a packed weekend of events to satisfy both karters and riders.
Rental Kart Endurance Racing
We kick it off at 9 a.m. this Saturday, Jan. 7, with the return of Rental Kart Endurance Racing. Grab up to two friends and come up with the perfect strategy to beat the field in the Team class OR run on your own in the Ironman(woman) class.
Each endurance event includes one practice session and two competitive racing sessions: one for 30 minutes and one for 60 minutes.
Cost is $50 for each person in a three-driver team, $75 per person for a two-driver team and $125 for the Ironman (woman) (prices for holders of PGP Racing Licenses).
Rental Kart racing at PGP is perfect for newcomers and experienced karters alike. You show up (and are 15 or older) and we provide the rest: kart, fuel, tires, helmet and rain gear if conditions warrant.
Stars of PGP Combined Kart/SuperMoto
PGP’s competitive karting and SuperMoto guys and gals kick off 2012 with a combined event on Sunday, Jan. 8. Gates open at 7 a.m. with racing starting at 9 a.m.
All kart classes will be supported including all 4-stroke karts; SuperMoto classes will include Asphalt Only, Knobby, and DRZ.
License holder cost is $75 for the first entry and $25 for the second entry (prices for holders of PGP Racing Licenses) Discounted family pricing available. The third class is FREE for everyone.
All Stars of PGP events follow our successful format with practice, qualifying, a heat race and a main event. We’ll finish the day with trophy presentations (all PeeWees win one!) and plenty of bench racing in the paddock.
The PGP Racing License Program is a cost-saving solution for frequent visitors. Licenses are offered in three levels so one is sure to be right for you. It is important to note that PGP Racing Licenses, which replace the old membership system, are not required to take part in any event at PGP. Show up wanting to race, and we’ll likely get you on track.
