| Driver News: Cory Milne To Make Jump to S1 for 2012 |
| |
Cory Milne will make the jump to the SKUSA Pro Tour S1 category for the 2012 race season and compete with the best of the best in the Stock Moto class. Coming off of what Cory called “an amazing season” he will test his driving skills against the likes of Daniel Bray and his current mentor and driver coach Tom Dyer.
Cory posted a 5th place finish at this years Super Nationals in the S2 class which gained him a 2nd place in the Pro Tour series points standings and the number two national plate. He also competed in the SKUSA Mountain Region in his home state of Colorado where we won the championship followed by a 2nd place in points in the Colorado Race the Rockies series.
Cory has been climbing up the Stock Moto rankings this year where eKartingNews has him ranked 4th at years end just two points shy of this years S2 Pro Tour Champion and teammate Kyle Hathcox.
“It’s has been a very tough and rewarding year. We have had some success and put our time in with lots of races and tons of practice days in between. I’m excited for this coming season to see how we will do in S1 against the pros. Our plan for next year is to run the Pro Tour Series, SKUSA Mountain Region and Race the Rockies Series. We might throw in the Streets of Lancaster if my schedule allows.” stated Cory.
Several other drivers will be making the jump to S1 in 2012 which should make the category extremely competitive and fun to watch. We look forward to watching Cory compete this year and wish him luck. |
