| Michiana Raceway Park Releases 2012 Club and National Calendar of Events |

Michiana Raceway Park has announced today their 2012 racing calendar of events, including the return of the United States Rotax Max Grand Nationals as well as both the WKA Manufacturer’s Cup and Gold Cup Series. The US Rotax Grands last attended Michiana Raceway Park in 2005.
“This will likely be one of our busiest years of National and Regional racing,” said Garry Lobaugh, owner of karting facility just 12-miles from South Bend, IN. “With both Rotax and WKA events here and our very popular MRP Championship Series, we expect the track to stay quite busy. We continue to improve the track and our amenities and we are ramping up to do more of that for the 2012 season.”
The new schedule features three major national events, two regionals and a ten-race local series. In addition, a “ROTAX ONLY” double-race weekend will be hosted on June 30 – July 1 to give the opportunity for testing time at the track and to get additional “punches” towards entry to the Rotax Grands. While the schedule is full, the track will put extra emphasis on testing, driver training and racing school programs.
“We are putting extra emphasis on our driver coaching and training programs for 2012,” said Marc Miller, professional driver and driving coach. “We are already planning on developing more karting clinics and advanced training programs for those drivers looking to improve their chances on the national level.”
