| Track News: 2012 SIMA Winter & Summer Series Schedules Announced |

Sumas International Motorsports Academy is proud to announce the 2012 SIMA Winter & Summer Series schedule. It will consist of 3 winter events with the first taking place on January 21st and the championship finale on March 31st. The popular one day Saturday event that worked so well last season will be back again this season. With the current schedule, you can get nearly two hours of practice in and three races so the extra track time is a bonus. Another great addition to the track is the on-site kart shop, indoor washrooms and the Sima Café that can warm you up or cool you down depending on the time of year.
Don’t forget about our year end Banquet! The 2011 Banquet will be held on the Friday night before the first Winter Series Race on January 21st at Bob’s Burger and Brew in Sumas, WA 5 minutes from the track. Tickets for the event will be available starting January 1st.
The tire rule will also be relaxed for the TAG and Shifter classes allowing multiple medium compound tires such as the new Bridgestone tire, MG White and Yellow, Mojo D2 and Maxxis HG3 to promote participation and get more karts on the track. “The racers suggested and we listened,” said SIMA track owner Claudio Valiante. “With every event we put on, the races have been running smoother and smoother. We have given away so many great prizes this winter which included tires from Bridgestone, Douglas Wheels, Seattle Mariners tickets, VP fuel, Position 1 training CD’s and chassis packages to use for the year. We are expecting 2012 to be even better!”
Another new and exciting event will be a 2 hour enduro event that SIMA will be hosting. Stay tuned as more information will be released soon.
