K1 RaceGear is happy to announce we have partnered with Olivier Bellanger for the 2012 race season which includes the very competitive Florida Winter Tour Series due to start in January. Olivier’s kart racing career began in 2007 racing in a Kid Kart and where he began winning multiple club races. He moved into the Rotax Mini Max class in 2008, and in 2009 took the Florida State Champion title. His multiple podium appearances in 2011 really pushed his career into high gear as he began traveling more to compete in various events. Because of another Florida State Champion title in Mini Max, he received an invitation to the US Grand Nationals at Miller Motorsports Park in Utah.
K1 RaceGear marketing manager Brad Harvey stated “We got a great chance to meet with Olivier and his dad Patrick at this year’s PRI trade show in Orlando, Florida and was very impressed with his professionalism in such a young driver. We are looking forward to working with both of them as Olivier progresses in his racing career, and are looking forward to see what Olivier does in 2012.”
Olivier also got an opportunity to meet IZOD Indy Car Driver Townsend Bell who was in the K1 RaceGear booth Thursday morning during the PRI trade show, and was quite excited to meet someone who has made a career out of driving a race car for a living.
With 2012 right around the corner the Bellanger’s are headed to testing just before the holidays and to prep for the upcoming Florida winter tour where other K1 RaceGear sponsored drivers will be looking for their own podium appearances in the various classes. Be on the look-out for the artist rendering of Olivier’s custom suit to be posted on our Facebook fan page in the coming weeks, and around the tracks at various events in 2012. |
