| Three WKA Tech Seminars Set for January, February |

Those interested in becoming a certified World Karting Association Technical Inspector will have the opportunity this winter with three Tech Seminars taking place this January and February.

The first seminar will be Saturday, Jan. 21 at the Cabarrus Arena & Events Center in Concord, N.C., the site of the WKA Gold Cup and Speedway Pavement Awards Ceremony.
The North Carolina seminar is for 4-cycle tech certification only. Registration is slated for 12:30 p.m. The seminar will start at 1 p.m.
The second seminar will take place at the annual OVKA Swap Meet Saturday, February 4. This is also a 4-cycle only seminar. Times are TBA.
The third seminar will offer 2-cycle and 4-cycle certification at Raceway Park in Englishtown, N.J. on Sunday, Feb. 19. Registration will be at 8:30 a.m. with the seminar beginning at 9.

TS Racing to provide incentives to FCKL class winners at Daytona Dirt
As preparations continue for the latest edition of the Daytona Dirt World Championships at Florida's Daytona Int'l Speedway December 27-29, the pot continues to be sweetened for many of its competitors as entries continue to pour in for the most famous dirt race in the history of karting.
With the recent announcement of the addition of many classes in the Florida Champ Kart League, Bushnell, Fla.-based TS Racing has elected to provide certificates to any competitor wins these classes, provided they are on Vega tires.
Classes eligible for the bonuses include the following:
Junior Champ Mix (FCKL rules with Vega Yellow or Red Only)
Senior Champ Animal (WKA rules - open tire) (Must win on a set of Vegas to win certificate)
Senior Champ Mix (FCKL rules with Vega Yellow or Red)
Jr. Sportsman Champ Silver (FCKL rules with Vega Yellow Only)
Jr Sportsman Champ Blue (FCKL rules with Vega Yellow Only)

Awards Ceremony reservation form posted
As announced a few weeks ago, awards ceremonies for the 2011 season for four of WKA's national series will be taking place in the coming months.
The Russell Karting Gold Cup and Vega Speedway Pavement series combined ceremony is Saturday night, January 21 at the Cabarrus Arena & Events Center in Concord, N.C., the same location as last year's ceremony for these two series.
The awards ceremonies for the George Kugler / Bridgestone Manufacturer's Cup and Dunlop Tire Road Racing series, both driven by Mazda, will take place Carolina (S.C.) Motorsports Park's Palmetto Club Friday and Saturday nights, March 23 and 24, as a part of the annual Zoom Zoom Nationals Man Cup / Road Race doubleheader.
This year's cost for the three awards ceremonies is $5 per person. Children five years old and under will get in free.

The deadline for ticket purchases is Friday, Jan. 6 for the Gold Cup / Pavement ceremony and Friday, March 9 for Man Cup and Road Race.
