Like in 2009, it is a British Driver who has landed at Macau the title of CIK-FIA Asia-Pacific KF3 Champion on the international circuit of Macau-Coloane. Matthew Graham (CRG-Maxter-Dunlop) succeeds his compatriot Jordan King on the list of results of the event.

Graham exerted an undivided domination over the Macau event as he successively managed to top timed practice and to win each of the three qualifying heats as well as the prefinal before clinching the title in the final.

At the finish, Graham stated: “From the start, I realised I was very quick and had the pace to win. When I qualified on pole, that increased my confidence and even more so when I won all 3 heats. But on final day it looked very grey outside when I woke up. I thought: ‘Oh no, I really hope it does not rain!’ Then an engine seized in the warm-up but I knew we had another quick engine. The racing was perfect. This is a really big win for me. At the start of the year, my target was at least one big European podium. But this is definitely most acceptable. I am very happy.”

On the final podium Graham was accompanied by the Italian Luca Corberi (Tony Kart-Vortex-Dunlop) and by the Thai Supanut Suwankham (Maddox-Parilla-Dunlop). China’s Kang Ling (Tony Kart-Vortex-Dunlop), seen in Europe within the framework of the new CIK-FIA Academy Trophy, finished fourth ahead of the Italian Alessio Piccini (Tony Kart-Vortex-Dunlop).

This meeting included the “Macau International Kart Grand Prix”, which will probably remain as the last public appearance of the Super KF karts. Marco Ardigo (Tony Kart-Vortex-Dunlop) claimed the final victory ahead of Ben Cooper (Kosmic-Vortex-Dunlop). The third-placed man Armand Convers (Kosmic-Vortex-Dunlop) distinguished himself with a fantastic recovery after his retirement from the prefinal due to a breakage of his ignition. As for Arnaud Kozlinski (CRG-Maxter-Dunlop), crowned World Champion 14 months before on the same track, he had landed the prefinal but retired from the final as a result of a puncture.
