At the Ghibli Raceway International the buildup is complete. The organizational structure of WSK Promotion, together with the management of the circuit of Sharm el Sheikh, Egypt, has completed the preparation of the track in view of the race that will take place the coming weekend, from today October 28 to Sunday 31. The African Race will be the third and final round of the WSK World Series. The Egyptian round closes in fact the world tour that began in Europe in July, at the Portuguese circuit in Portimao, followed by the American round in New Jersey, on the Millville track.
TITLES TO BE ASSIGNED IN EACH CATEGORY
Nothing is decided yet for the titles in the four categories in competition. The current points leader is Dutch Nick De Vries (Zanardi-Parilla-Vega) in Super KF, Belgian Jonathan Thonon (CRG-Maxter-Dunlop) in KZ2, Italian Ignazio D'Agosto (Tony Kart-Vortex-Vega) in KF2 and Dutch Max Verstappen (CRG-Maxter-Dunlop) in KF3. For them the goal to reach the WSK title will not be easy since the value of the opponents on a circuit that is brand new for everyone.
EVEN THE AFRICAN CONTINENT IN THE RACE
The international representation of the WSK World Series is enriched in Sharm el Sheikh with additional flags, this time brought by drivers from the African continent. First among these is the twenty-one years old Libyan Wary Tatanaki (CRG-Maxter-Vega KF2), which comes along with her countryman Hassan Soufrakis (CRG-Maxter-Dunlop KF3). Even in KF2 with the same material as Tatanaki, will run two Egyptians, Tarek Hamdy and Mohammed Khedr. With these drivers, a total of 30 nations, and the all 5 continents are represented in the WSK World Series, to further emphasize the global nature of the championship. |
