| |
Entrants for the 40th edition of the “Trofeo delle Nazioni” keep arriving at a good pace. The race will be held on 6th and 7th November on the “7 Laghi” Circuit in Castelletto di Branduzzo (Pavia). There are already drivers coming from 17 different countries ready to battle for the final win.
Among the 6 categories of this year’s event, with a maximum number of 34 entrants for each category, the junior categories have already filled up their lists.
In the well established race open to foreign entrants, the 60 Mini and the KF3 lists of participants have been filled up fast; in the same way the KF2 category is already rather crowded but there are still some places available.
The programme includes the 125 Italia too, besides the other categories of the single-brand trophies Rok and Challenge Iame X30.
In the 60 Mini, among the favourite drivers there is the Russian Robert Shwartzman (Lenzo-Lke), winner of the recent Italian championship of the National Trophy and of last year’s edition of the “Trofeo delle Industrie”. Ready to battle with Shwartzman the whole Birel Motorsport Team, led by the other Russian driver Alexander Zhirkov, besides other protagonists such as the Lorandi brothers of the Baby Race Team, and Danilo Albanese (Comer).
In the 60 Mini, the presence of the Finnish Hugo Hakkinen (Crg-Lke), son of the F1 two-time world champion Mika Hakkinen, stands out. He is keeping on his experience in karting after this year’s debut in the WSK Master (picture beside).
In KF3 the battle between Riccardo Vullo (Tony Kart) and Speedy (Crg), the two rivals of the recent Open Masters, will be catching all the attention, while in KF2 it will be interesting to follow the duel between the new WSK Masters champion Antonio Giovinazzi (Top Kart) and his usual rivals, such as the Polish Jakub Dalewski (Tony Kart). The KF3 champion Giuliano Niceta (RK) will take part in the KF2 category race for the first time, as well as Alessio Profeta, who has recently joined the CRG-Maxter official team.
The “7 Laghi” Circuit will be available for practice from 2nd to 4th November. Then the official programme provides for sporting checks and free practice on Friday 5th November, while on Saturday 6th November there are the qualifying practice and the first qualifying heats. On Sunday 7th November further qualifying heats and the finals. |
