| Industry News: IAME - HPV Engine Renamed KOMET |
| |
The following is a statement released by IAME regarding the new importation of the HPV engine
Effective immediately, due to a recent change in IAME distribution arrangements, the 100cc IAME Piston Valve engine formerly known as HPV will be renamed KOMET Piston Valve.
This change will more accurately describe the engine as from its inception this model was in fact dubbed KOMET K71 when it was first introduced and homologated by FIA/CIK in 1992 (129M/92) for the Intercontinental A / junior category.
Also as a point of market communication, IAME wants all the customers (agents and racers) to know they are working quickly with the new importer, Haddock, Ltd. Inc. to correct the supply issues of the recent past. IAME hopes to have the availability problems under control within 60 days.
IAME appreciates your support for their products and apologize for the recent problems. Plans are in the works for a good future for the Komet Spec engine program. |
