PREVIEW
With roughly a month away from the track, the Championship Karting International series returns to action with the third round of the new 2009 program. The CalSpeed Karting facility, outside the Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, is the site of the Grand Prix of California. The third round marks a long journey from round two in New Jersey with about 2,700 miles separating the two events. Weather should not be a factor all weekend as the sun is forecasted to shine all weekend long on the 3/4-mile circuit. The six divisions schedule to compete will see some close racing as the championship chases begin to heat up.
