For the fourth year running, Tony Kart’s brightest young karting stars have completed a full training course with Quadra Sports in Italy. The course took place near Tony Kart’s headquarters in Prevalle, and involved both members of the Tony Kart factory team and its satellite teams. The Quadra Sports training course concentrated on physical training and media coaching, as well as racecraft and strategy. The 15 karters came from a wide variety of different backgrounds and nationalities, led by two-time World Champion Marco Ardigo.
The full list of drivers attending was: Marco Ardigo (I), Alessandro Bressan (I), Flavio Camponeschi (I), Gary Catt (GB), Armand Convers (F), Ben Cooper (GB), Ignazio D’Agosto (I), Mitchell Gilbert (MAL), Chris Lock (GB), Stefano Marcelo (MAL), Gustavo Menezes (USA), Guilherme Tavares Silva (BR), Aniello Smarrazzo (I), Felice Tiene (I), and Luke Wright (GB).
The Quadra Sports training course took place near Tony Kart and covered three days, including sessions at the gym and some outdoor fitness exercises as well as classes in PR, Marketing, and media skills. Although some of the drivers had attended the Quadra Sports course before, they all drew plenty of benefit from a mixture of taught theory and practical workshops.
Ardigo, who won the Karting World Championship for the second time with Tony Kart last year, said: “The knowledge I have gained through the Quadra Sports training course has definitely allowed me to improve my all-round performance as a driver and opened my eyes to new possibilities. I would thoroughly recommend it to anybody who is serious about making it to the top in motorsport.”
Ange Pasquali, the founder of Quadra Sports, commented:
“I’m delighted that we have provided another successful training course for the prestigious Tony Kart team. It’s always a pleasure to work with a team at this level, and we hope that the drivers have enjoyed learning on the course as much as we have enjoyed hosting it again.”
