| Grand Prix Open Karting Announces Television Deal |
| |
Over the last few weeks, everybody has noticed that the French Karting Championship has adopted a new strategy from a communication viewpoint, and more precisely since the launching of the Grand Prix Open Karting FFSA (GPOs). But this is not the only nice surprise, because Thierry Germanovitch (13ème Avenue), the Promoter of the series, has just signed an exceptional agreement for the TV broadcasting of a series of reportages on the GPOs!
His partner in this new international communication enterprise will be MOTORS TV, the High-Speed Television. Motors TV is the first TV chain in the world specialised in motor sports, broadcasting on satellite, cable and ADSL. Established by journalist Jean-Luc Roy, it has now become the reference TV chain in this field, with 2 million subscribers in France and over 16 million all over Europe, in 36 countries and 5 languages. With this infrastructure, the GPOs will enjoy greater visibility and drivers and teams will be able to sell themselves better to their partners!
From the very first event, at Angerville (28-29 March), there will be important technical means deployed on the ground. Images will be made by production teams, under the supervision of a Motors TV journalist.
Five broadcasts of 26 minutes each will be made during the 5 GPO weekends, in addition to a 52-minute retrospective at the end of the season. Each programme will be broadcast at least 5 times via the whole European network of Motors TV. Therefore, it is going to be pretty difficult not to see any karting events on the most important of all communications means, television!
But there is more …
The agreement reached between the GPOs and Motors TV already covers a three-year period. In 2010 and 2011, there will be as many as 11 broadcasts (!) focusing exclusively on the GPOs. Of course, these images will also be directly available on the gpokarting.com Web site.
What is even more interesting is that the Promoter has taken into account the wishes of drivers and teams, who have always wanted to have some racing images to watch for their own amusement, but also to use to develop and propose a real communication strategy to their partners. This will now be possible, and from the very first round. The GPO Promoter will make available to drivers and teams all the TV reportages, free of charge and without TV rights! A real master stroke… |
