Despite a very tight schedule, Thierry Germanovitch and 13ème Avenue, promoter of the series, have met the first of many challenges awaiting them in 2009: the Website of the Grand Prix Open Karting FFSA (CIK international rounds) is already online!
A beautiful, brand new site, full of functionalities for drivers and team wishing to join the GPOs, who can now rush to visit the registration section. As good news never comes alone, Alain Prost, the four-time Formula 1 World Champion, has announced that he will officially support the GPOs in 2009! A master stroke for the promoter of this international Championship.
GPOkarting.com is an address that you must absolutely add to your favourites. For the first time, the former Grands Prix FFSA (French Championship have their own, dedicated Internet site. Of course, the GPO site will provide all the information you need to register: regulations, calendar, etc … From the very first Grand Prix, you will be able to see all positions and results, race reports, pictures and other information. But the gpokarting.com site will offer even more…
As from today, you can register for the 2009 season, directly online and in absolute security. You just need a few clicks. After completing the information form and paying, for example, via the secure module (guaranteed by a major French bank), drivers and team will be ready to take part in the official launch of the GPOs! It is also possible to pay by cheque or money transfer.
As for registrations, priority shall be given to drivers participating to the whole season. It will then be possible to register for each single event, based on remaining available places in each category. Drivers racing in «Trophée de France» events (Minikart, Minimes/Cadets, Nationale, KZ125), which will accompany the GPO official events in the relevant categories, will be offered the same registration functionalities. Don’t forget to register as soon as possible, because the number of places in each category is limited. Registered drivers and teams will then be allowed to book and prepay their fuel, tyres, track fees, etc. thereby reducing administrative procedures at the circuits.
This new concept, dear to the GPO promoter, is explained in detail on the site. It is a fundamental recipe, based on sportsmanship and fun, whose main ingredient is the sharing of the same passion. Of course, everybody is invited to enjoy it, without moderation. Even great Alain Prost was fascinated by it. In his message (published on the site) he explains why he supports karting in general, and the GPOs in particular, as well as his decision to become official supporter of the 2009 season. Soon we will certainly see this extraordinary champion at karting track sides!
Just like the series it represents, the GPO Website aims to become a reference point and a fundamental tool for all karting fans. It will evolve very quickly after the debut of the Championship, in order to offer all participants, drivers and teams, of every nationality (the site is already available in French and English) a new way to be part of top-level karting competitions. For many drivers and team, the first meeting will be at Angerville (France) on 28 & 29 March 2009, for the launch of 2009 GPOs! |
