| Industry News: SSC East - CRG Named ‘2008 Best Kart of the Year’ |

A recent survey of licensed racers, club and hobby drivers has named the CRG brand as the 2008 ‘Best Kart of the Year’, according to a research project conducted by a leading independent European motorsport publication, Motorsport XL. The survey ranked the 15 most well-known chassis brands based on feedback from over 335 responders.
It evaluated the different brands on a variety of aspects including quality, performance, innovation, design and cost, scoring each on a sliding scale of 1 to 20 points per question, based on a series of seven questions. When the points were tallied CRG was named the top kart with a score of 109, beating out Birel by 15 points and Tony Kart by 25. CRG ranked as a top 3 brand in all questions:
1st Place: Quality, Innovation, Technical Solutions, Design, Communication;
2nd Place: Race Performance, Sales & Service;
3rd Place: Price/Performance Ratio.
The survey population make-up: 55% of respondents hold a license for two stroke engines, 22% are club drivers, 17% hobby drivers and 6% hold four stroke engine license. The research listed the top three purchasing influences as:
