WSK International Series Announces 2009 Schedule

WSK International Series fourth season has now taken its own shape. 2009 race calendar is official by now and presents a series made up of seven rounds in confirmation of the constant growing trend planned by the organization of the WSK Promotion. Starting from the early four rounds in the debut season in 2006 and adding one more round every year, WSK thus confirms its prerogative in being an international prestigious competition field for professional karting.

WSK CONSOLIDATES THROUGHOUT EUROPE
From very its first edition the WSK International Series has shown a European vocation. This distinctive feature could only be reconfirmed for 2009 as well on a season that is centred around a continental tour that will touch four countries. Besides Belgium, France, Spain as well as Italy will be again part of the WSK calendar that will cover a vast part of the year. As a matter of fact the list of the rounds almost covers the entire solar calendar from February with the start in Muro Leccese (LE), to be concluded on November 1 st with the closing round in Lonato (BS). Among the new locations a mention to the circuit 7 Laghi in Castelletto di Branduzzo (PV) that will host for the first time a WSK round, as well as the Belgian race track in Genk that represents a further new entry to the series. Both the exhaustive calendar and the innovations on the regulations for 2009 season will be available on the official website http://www.wsk.it.

CLASS TURNOVER
After a successful start in the present year the international categories will compete again by turns to the WSK rounds in 2009. This time the turnover will be restricted to KF1 and KZ2 only, whereas KF2 and KF3 will take part to all the seven events. KF1 as well as KZ2 will compete in four rounds. The two leading categories will be present at the same time in Zuera that is the only track hosting the four classes at once.

INNOVATIONS IN SCORE
KF1 will race a single 40 km Final removing this way the PreFinal prologue. In the ranking the best three results for racing weekend will be taken into account whereas KF2 and KF3 will add up the score achieved at every round.
