SUNDAY, AUGUST 24

A lot can be said about the type of drivers and crews that compete in the Snap-on Stars of Karting presented by IndyCar series. No matter what type of track you present them, they always come through with some of the best racing in North America. The racing this weekend during the Seattle Grand Prix to wrap up the Western Division schedule is something we love to see week in and out as the five groups put on spectacular exhibitions during both dry and wet conditions during the two finals ran during the final day. With the Stars crew again putting on another smoothly coordinated event, the racers did their job on-track with the five divisional champions decided in stunning fashion.

SATURDAY, AUGUST 23

It was a full exciting day of racing at the Western Division Finale of the Snap-on Stars of Karting presented by IndyCar Series at the Seattle Grand Prix in Sumner, Washington. The temporary circuit situated at an industrial park along the 167-highway has provided some intense racing in the five divisions. As it was thought heading into the weekend, qualifying was a key factor on the day’s action as passing, though possible, has required the right timing and agility. No surprise on Saturday was the performance of defending two-time ICC national champion Gary Carlton who took the win in all three heat races to start Sunday’s finals from the pole position. The remainder of the classes saw no one driver dominate throughout the challenging heat races that have set up for tomorrow’s finals.
