SUNDAY, AUGUST 17
One thing that can be said about the 2008 WKA Manufacturer’s Cup Series season, it was a very competitive year. With a lot of first time winners and very few double class winners on the year showed just how competitive each division on the circuit was this past season. Wrapping up the final day at the Zoom Zoom Nationals at the New Castle Motorsports Park in Indiana, each class came down to the final few corners with many of the championship contenders battling adversity in the final race of the year. Ryan Stewart stood out among the many winners with his two additional wins on Sunday for a total of four on the weekend to go along with his six Streeter Super Stands Top Qualifier honors. With Stewart’s wins and three other victories, Birel took the Manufacturer’s Championship Trophy for the first time in the Award’s history.

SATURDAY, AUGUST 16
It was a long and exciting day at the first of two days of action at the WKA George Kugler/Bridgestone Manufacturer’s Cup Series Driven by Mazda for the Zoom Zoom Nationals at the New Castle Motorsports Park in Indiana. The competitors on day one on the 1-mile road course known for producing exciting races did not disappoint with the all but important final corner deciding many of the results throughout the day. Ryan Stewart continued on his hot streak that began in Norway by picking up two wins on the opening day to give Birel a five win advantage in the Manufacturer’s Championship Trophy standings heading into the final day of the year.

FRIDAY, AUGUST 15
After nine months of competition, the World Karting Association George Kugler/Bridgestone Manufacturer’s Cup Series Driven by Mazda will contest the fifth and final round this weekend. The Zoom Zoom Nationals will take place at the New Castle Motorsports Park in New Castle, Indiana - just 45-minutes east of downtown Indy. The weekend will be the final round of the five event program with the provisional class champions decided until all the divisional programs complete their schedules and the full point totals can be tabulated for the 15 classes that make up the Manufacturer’s Cup Series.
