 | | Sam Jordan |
With the three 2008 KART National Championships back to back to back (Speedway-- Wakeeney, KS June 12-14, Sprint-- Garnett, KS June 20-22 and Enduro-- Heartland Park Topeka June 27-29) 19 year old Sam Jordan and his family/pit crew (Dad Jeff and Mom Rhonda) decided to take on the challenge of being the first person to race all three KART National Championships in the same year.
Sam is a 2007 graduate of Shawnee Mission NW high school, where he was a varsity wrestler and National Merit Commended student. Now having just completed his first year at Kansas State University with a 4.0 GPA while studying Mechanical Engineering, plus extra curricular activities with his fraternity, Phi Delta Theta, you would think his plate would be full, but everyone is up for this next challenge.
Sam has been racing karts for 8 years, being a dirt racer the first 6 of those. During that time, he was Class Champion two times at the challenging Thunder Lake Speedway in Kansas City, KS. In 2007 and this year, the team’s primary focus has been on the TaG class in the KART Mid America Road Race Series, where he had a win his first year @ Garnett, KS.
Good luck to Sam and crew in this latest challenge, and with what looks like a very promising future in all aspects of life. |
