12 years old. Rookie year racing 4 cycle speedway karts on dirt ovals. Raced 4 cycle Junior II class. Started mid season in Rogers, Arkansas. Highlight: 3rd place in big regional race at Northwest Arkansas Speedway at end of season.
1996
13 years old. First full year of racing. Raced 4 cycle Junior II speedway karts in Arkansas, Kansas and Missouri. Highlights: 12 wins and 21 top three finishes in 30 races.
1997
14 years old. Raced 4 cycle Junior II speedway karts in Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Tennessee, Oklahoma and Alabama. Highlights: Won Missouri-Arkansas IKF championship series (10 races) Won Jayhawk Jr. Spectacular regional race, Topeka, Kansas. Placed 3rd in IKF Region 5 East Speedway Points Championship. Placed 5th out of at 39 at the Indoor Nationals, Memphis TN.
1998
15 years old. Raced 4 cycle Junior II speedway karts in Arkansas and Oklahoma. Raced first quarter of season only due to move to Texas. Highlights: Placed 3rd out of 24 in ⌠Rumble at the Rock” regional race, Little Rock Arkansas
1999
16 years old. Rookie year racing 80 cc shifter karts on asphalt sprint courses (3/8 to 3/4 mile) and road courses (2-3 mile) in Texas and Mexico. Highlights: 1999 CRG series Champion, 2nd in Gulf Coast Karting points championship. 2nd in each of two road race attempts, 3rd in Monterrey International Kart race, Monterrey, Mexico.
2000
Second in K1 regional championship. Ten overall wins. Katy Champ series champion. fifteen top five finishes. Winner of Monterrey International Kart race in Mexico. |
